Tifany signed the front of one of the Balloons Across San Diego Flyers, and on the back wrote down her address, phone number - and a tentative date for my family to come visit the Small Wonder set.  (See the "Memories" page for the complete story.)

Balloons Across San Diego is a community event to help the homeless of San Diego County.  Today, 250,000 balloons will be released at this location and 11 others all over the county to show that we care.  Each balloon represents at $1 donation to help care for the homless this holiday season.

Music and Entertainment will begin at each location 45 minutes prior to the time listed above.  At the listed time a radio celebrity will commence the celebration that will last 30 minutes, leading up to the release of the balloons.  At the time of the release the loudspeakers will play the official song of Balloons Across San Diego, and we need you to help us sing it, using the words written below.

Thank You to the people who, through their generous donations, have made Balloons Across San Diego possible: Rescue Rooter, FM 104 KJOY, Great American, Cox Cable, Home Federal, Daley Corporation, Grossmont College, Blessed Sacrament School and Mr. Fred Schnaubelt.  Shep Meyers, 7-time CLIO Award Winner, has written the official song and will be on hand at several malls to lead the audience in song at the time of release.
