Tiffany and Myself the day we met in San Diego

I'm always intrigued why people become a “fan” of an actor, and why they choose to follow that person’s career. It may sound odd, but the first celebrity to enter my life in a major way was our favorite Small Wonder, Tiffany Brissette.

My father was working in Public Relations/Advertising in the eighties,and on November 22, 1986 we took part in Balloons Across San Diego. Balloons were launched from malls all around the county, with each one representing a dollar donated to help Father Joe Carroll and the Saint Vincent DePaul homeless shelter. The first celebrity of the morning to appear was Tiffany, and she made quite an impression. She signed autographs, encouraged people to donate a dollar and not only sponsor a balloon but also be entered in a raffle for prizes, and she signed her name a million times, all in the early morning sun, always with a smile on her face.
