Hanging out in her dressing room going through a scrap book I put together
for her of the Balloons Across San Diego event. (She was thrilled that I had
gotten an autograph from Tina Yothers for her. Just another reminder that she
was not that different from myself! ;) )
We arrived long before the studio audience and hung out in the dressing rooms, my parents talking with her mother about something "serious" by all appearances -- later to be defined as "grown up talk" leaving two twelve-year-old girls to figure out some fun to be had -- which we found in Jerry Supirin's dressing room.
Someone had given them each a roll of masking tape and encouraged them to "roll" it into a masking tape ball big enough to play basketball with. (Yes, we did go persuade a few of the crew members that we needed extra rolls of tape. After all, I didn't have a ball to play with!)
A few tickle fights later we were ready for our tournament. The rules were simple. The trash can was the basket and we each took turns "lining up our shots." One of the guest stars (I wish I could remember his name, but it has been over a decade) came in and lined up one of the most amazing shots, standing on the back of a couch shooting over a door, with trashcan hidden behind it -- and yes, he made it!
Then it was time for Jerry and Tiffany to go to work on the set.
